WILLIAM CHARLES MORTON Peacefully on June 3, 2006 at the Gimli Community Health Centre, Bill Morton, aged 67 years, of Matlock, MB and formerly of Winnipeg. Bill leaves surviving his beloved companion Doreen Wilson; his son Bradley (Beth) and their boys, Zack and Carter; his daughter Marnie and her boys, Wesley and Graham; the mother of his children Judy; Doreen's children, Scott (Liz) and their children, Erin, Shannon, Kiera and Kelly; Darcy (Kerry) and their children, Corey, Darryl, Michelle, Jessica and Jordan; and Judy and daughter Stacy; as well as relatives in England. Bill was born in Cheltenham, England in 1939 and to came to Canada in 1959. He was a very skilled carpenter and was a self employed contractor working mainly in Winnipeg. He enjoyed gardening, fishing and the country life and was always teasing and joking with people. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 8 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Selkirk with Pastor Stan Richards officiating. Special thanks to the compassionate and caring staff at the Gimli Hospital who took such great care of Bill. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to CancerCare Manitoba.
